Art Curatorial Internship

Chrysler Museum of Art, 2023

In 2023, I interned in art curation at the Chrysler Museum of Art for their ancient African art exhibit. This experience showed me the ropes of creating an exhibition and conveying a message through spatial planning. Although I learned I’d rather be the artist making pieces to be curated, it made me ponder on the impact of curating the contemporary and modern African art of today.

“Carbon Copy”

I created Carbon Copy from the depths of my wounds. It is my first published poem among a future of many more. I hope this poem resonates alongside your journey.
