HEALING HOODS NEAR YOU 〰️

Where Black voiceS AMPLIFY THROUGH Art, and expression becomes a portal.

Bria Miller, also known as Blue, is a Philadelphia-based multimedia artist whose work explores identity, healing, and liberation within the Black diaspora. Informed by her Gullah Geechee and Caribbean heritage and her lived experience as a queer Black woman, her practice spans across painting, collage, sculpture, poetry, and audio storytelling. Through bold color, symbolic imagery, and dreamlike environments, Blue creates visual spaces that center vulnerability, resilience, and imagination within Black life. Influenced by Black feminist thought and Black psychology, her work invites viewers to engage personal and collective narratives while imagining more expansive and liberated futures.

Heal Your hood through storytelling & Imagination

As a self-taught visual artist and social justice advocate, I use the healing, connective force of art to transform both private and systemic pain. My work is a practice of collective liberation, a space where stories are reclaimed and futures imagined. Guided by an intersectional lens, I weave together my evolving identity, Black feminist theory, scholarly work in Black psychology, and lived experience to create pieces that challenge, console, and catalyze change.
